Eastern woodland Indians

1000 - 1400

The eastern woodland Indians were here on American soil before anyone else, even the British. They were made up of many tribes, the largest being the Cherokee. They were not nomadic tribes.

In 1521 the first Spanish expedition reached the Carolina soil.the first expedition lasted only three months, it was abandoned in early 1527

Also known as the Crown Colony. They had representatives councils and was governed by an appointed governor.

This was a war between British settlers and native Americans.

Stono rebellion

Was a very large slave rebellion is South Carolina on September 7, 1739. The leader was Jemmy a former slave who led 20 armed other to the Stono River.

French and Indian war

This war was between Great Britain and France and became a world wide conflict

Most citizens of South Carolina took up arms to the colonial officials. The citizens overthrew the officials

This act was passed by the Parliment in Great Brittain was was to raise revenue.

This was a group of American Patriots and was formed to protect the rights of the citizens. Which kind of started the Intolerable Acts.

Tea act

This was just a general tax on the tea sold from and in the United States.

Was simply between the 13 colonies and Great Britain. It ended up in an American Victory and could’ve became a World War.

Cherokee war

This was known as the first Cherokee War. Was between the British and American Cherokee tribes. NC SC and Tenassee, it was a British victory

Declaration of Independence

This Document practically set the future the the rest of history for the U.S. There were 57 signers and is probably the biggest document in U.S. history.
