The Crimean War proved that through military action that France, and more so for Britain, were prepared to prop up the degrading Ottoman Turkish Empire. If the Empire did fall it would allow Austria and Russia to expand their territories. It directly negatively affected French interests because it would have allowed Russia access to the Mediterranean.

Conflict between the Second French Empire and Kingdom of Prussia. Prussia was aided by the North German Confederation. It was a German victory and brought about the unification of Germany which shifted the balance of European power. Also lead to the downfall of Napoleon III.

Japan's war effort was near collapse so the Japanese public was angered by the liberal terms that were offered to the Russians and a road was made in Japan for the rise of military governments. Japan was saved by President Roosevelt's interventions. The "first" Russian revolution had started and put the Tsar government on its way.

Ordered the execution of 2,400 people in Paris by July 1794. In France 30,000 people died. It was meant to fight the enemies of the revolution and to prevent the counter revolution from gaining ground.
