In 1970 the number of computers on this new network had grown from 4 to 13
In 1971 the number would increase to 23.
So in 1975 if there are only 60 computer on this new network, many of them not sure exactly what to do with it, most people saw no need to spend thousands of dollars to join the network themselves.
It wouldn’t be until 1977 before the hundred computer barrier would be broken
not until 1984 before more than a thousand computers were on the network.
By 1987 the 10,000 barrier was broken. By this time, computers were just starting to make it into people’s homes.
And by 1992, just four years later, there would be over a million of computers connected.
in 1996, over 10 million users would now be connected.
In 2001, over 100 million computers were connected to the Internet.
