It started because the British wanted to expand and they collided with the French for Ohio. It gave debt on Britain, taxes on the citizens, and increased trade. It started the process for the native americans to leave. Both French and British wanted to use the land to colonize but the French was focussed on trade and the British focussed on settling. The French style of fighting was GUERILLA (jump out and attack). The British were conventional. At the end of the war the British had won and it lead to the Proclamation of 1763 and the American Revolution.
