The Trojan war was a war between the Greeks, and the people of Troy. The war began when the Trojan prince Paris abducted the Spartan Queen Helen. The war ended with the famous story of the Giant Wooden Horse that was secretly filled with Greek soldiers that took over the entire town of Troy killing everyone.

The Messenian war was fought between the Spartans and the Dorians who lived in Messenia. The war was fought over a previous rivalry between the Achaeans and the Dorians.

The 1st Persian war
492 B.C. - 490 B.C.
Persia invaded Greek and in the end they won at the battle of Marathon in 490 B.C. The story tells that a messenger ran 26.2188 miles to tell the king that the war was over and that they had won.
2nd Persian War
480 B.C. - 476 B.C.
The war occured during the Greco-Persian Wars, as King Xerxes I of Persia went to conquer all of Greece. There were 3 main battles during this war, the battles of Thermopylae, Salamis, and the battle of Plataea.
The 2nd Peloponessian
431 B.C. - 404 B.C.
The Peloponnesus people wanted to take over Sparta and Athens, so of course there was a war.
