Task one is my initial reaction to the project. This time period consists of planning and forming ideas based on my interests. I plan to create mind-maps and detailed notes on topics that I would like to explore.
Task two is the finalisation of a topic and title. I plan to have five different titles to analyse and choose based on my personal preference, interest and access to evidence/sources.
Task three is the beginning of formal paperwork, I hope to complete pages 5-7.
Task four consists of research into available books accessible from the internet or the local library. I also plan to make detailed notes on these on this day. Throughout this time I plan to visit the library and have a solid foundation of research that I can work from.
Task six involves research on ‘Google Scholar’ to find any relevant articles/essays in order to gain more insight but also see what their work was referenced by. Using this method allows me to access websites and books that I wouldnt have necessarily found by myself.
Task seven is mainly research from blogs or personal experiences. I hope to have detailed notes on examples of cultural appropriation in the fashion industry and the media. Blogs or personal accounts/experiences may contain helpful insight into how cultural appropriation really impacts people.
Task eight involves creating a mind-map of ‘for’ and ‘against’ arguments. I.e. how people admire other cultures whereas it could be seen as an appropriation/adoption of someone else’s persona.
