A federal constitution, similar in language to that of the united states is adopted. and Argentina is established.

After two years of war between "Buenos Aires Province" and other provinces of the Argentina Republic. A National convention elects general Bartolome Mitre to the presidency and designates the city of Buenos Aries as the national capital

A group of military officers take control of the government; general Ramirez assumes the presidency and outlaws political parties.
