They arrived in 1519, and stayed for a year. They got kicked out in 1520

Cortés defeats the Aztecs

After being kicked out in 1520, Cortes returned and defeated the Aztecs in 1521.

Bartolome de las Casas argues against enslavement of Native Americans

Las Casas didn't want to be rich from having slaves so he fought against it.

Pizarro founds a new capital in Lima, Peru, after defeating the Incas
