The Old Kingdom lasted from 2700 - 2200 B.C.E and was known as the “Age of the Pyramids”. They established a strong central government. They had great pyramids built for themselves as tombs.

Pharaoh Khufu

2551 B.C.E - 2528 B.C.E

Pharaoh Khufu was known as a harsh ruler. Some of his greatest accomplishments were being the architect of a famous pyramid. Khufu was known for establishing a centralized government and controlling the gain supply. He also declared himself as a god.

Akkadian Empire

2300 B.C.E - 2100 B.C.E

The Akkadians conquered the Sumerians city-states around 2300 B.C.E.Sargon became the first ruler of the Akkadian Empire.Akkadians military achievement of Sargon assembling large armless and teaching them how to fight in tight formations. This achievement was important because it helped Sargon win territory to expand his empire.the Akkadian cultural achievement of their own language and 3D sculpture.These achievements were important because eventually their language and their sculptures creatwed steles to document history.

Middle Kingdom

2000 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E

The Middle Kingdom lasted from 2000 to 1100 B.C.E was most of the time called “Period of Reunification”.It had years of chaos and disunity. They enjoyed many great achievements in literature, art, architecture.

Pharaoh Senusret 1

1971 B.C.E - 1926 B.C.E

Pharaoh Senusret was a strong leader. Some of his greatest accomplishments were that he had many temples, shrines, and religious monuments constructed and improved. His greatest architectural achievement is the White Chapel.

Babylonian Empire

1792 B.C.E - 1595 B.C.E

the Babylonian political achievement of the code of hammurabi that were laws. This achievement was important because the laws unified his empire.the Babylonian economic achievement of trade in grain and woven cloth or wood, gold, silver, precious gems, and livestocks. This achievement was important because it helped build the empire’s economy and connected them with distant lands.

New Kingdom

1600 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E

The New Kingdom lasted from 1600 to 1100 B.C.E. It is often called the “Egypt’s Golden Age”.During this time of peace and stability, ancient Egypt’s power reached its height Pharaohs increased trade and had massive monuments built.

Pharoah Hatshepsut

1473 B.C.E - 1458 B.C.E

Pharaoh Hatshepsut’s greatest achievements was her rise to power since few women had ever became Egyptian Pharaohs. She shared power with her female relatives. Then she soon achieved sole leadership.

Pharaoh Ramses

1290 B.C.E - 1224 B.C.E

Ramses was one of the most popular pharaoh ever.He was also a peace keeper. One of his greatest projects is the complex at Abu Simbel. The main temple was carved into the side of a cliff that was on a bank of the Nile River.

Assyrian Empire

900 B.C.E - 612 B.C.E

the Assyrian military achievement of perfecting the use of horses, iron weapons for battle, and siege warfare. This achievement was important because they came up with new ways to push people out of lands they wanted to conquer the Assyrian cultural achievement of art and architecture. This achievements was important because they created palaces and sculptures to honor their kings that they treated like gods.The Assyrian Empire lasted about 300 years.The Assyrian Empire fell because they had too much territory to control and their army was stretched to thin.


605 B.C.E - 539 B.C.E

the Neo-Babylonian military achievement of building walls around Babylonian.This achievement was important because it kept the capital safe from invaders.the Neo-Babylonian Cultural acheivement of mathmatics and astronomy.This achievemnent was important because they created the sundial that allowed them to tell time.The Neo-Babylonian Empire lasted 75 years.A new conqueror named Cyrus swept in can took over the land

Candragupta Maurya

320 B.C.E - 185 B.C.E

Founded the Mauryan empire.Gave up his throne to become a Jainist monk.He ruled his empire with the help of a complex government.He gave up his throne in 301.


270 B.C.E - 233 B.C.E

He extended Mauryan rule over most of India. He made the empire stronger and richer.
