The Old Kingdom

2700 B.C.E - 2200 B.C.E

This period was known as the “Age of the Pyramids”. They established a strong government and they built tombs for their rulers.

Pharaoh Khufu

2551 B.C.E - 2528 B.C.E

Pharaoh Khufu and not much was known about him. He created a centalized government and controlled the food supply. Khufu declared himself a god. Pharaoh Khufu also riened from about 2551 - 2528 B.C.E.

Middle Kingdom

2000 B.C.E - 1800 B.C.E

This was the period of Reunification because it followed years of chaos and distunity. The achievements of the middle kingdom are that they enjoy many litureature, art, and arcitecture.

Pharaoh Senruset

1976 B.C.E - 1971 B.C.E

Some of Senusret is that he was a strong leader and he ruled a stable, unified Egypt. He controlled mins with gold, copper, and amethest which made the art and jewelry thrive.One of his arcitectual achievement he acomplished was the White Chapel. The White Chapel was made out of hard white stone and has a thin layer of gold. There were various god and many symbols included. He also had many temples, shrines, and religious monuments to improve.

The New Kingdom

1600 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E

This was called “The Golden Age” and the golden age was in about 1600 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E and in this time period there was peace and stability and that’s when Egypt’s power reached its height The trade was increased and there was massive monuments built.

Pharaoh Hatshepsut

1473 B.C.E - 1458 B.C.E

Hatshepsut’s greatest accomplishments was that she stengthened her position in many ways such as filling her government with loyal advisers, demanded the same respect as the men, and she promoted trade with other counrties.

Pharaoh Ramses ll

1290 B.C.E - 1224 B.C.E

Many of Ramses greatest accomplishments was at a young age he was a fearless fighter and he also was a peacemaker, he and Hitties also made and signed the first peace treaty which lasted until the empire colasped in 1190 B.C.E.

Candragupta Maurya

320 B.C.E - 301 B.C.E

Founded the Mauryan empire.
Gave up his throne to become a Jainist monk. Candragupta Maurya was also apart of the empire

Asoka

270 B.C.E - 233 B.C.E

Asoka had made the empire stronger and richer. Asoka had converted into Buddhism and to help time and resources to improve the lives of his people and he had also built houses for travelers and raised large stone pillars carved with Buddhist laws on them.

Candra Gupta I

320 AD - 375 AD

Some of these rulers became models for Indian architecture. He had believed in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. They also established his great university of studies and had became on of the Buddhist greatest studies

Candra Gupta II

375 AD - 400 AD

Had made a caste system that had made the empire stronger and keep a stable empire. By the end of the Gupta rule, India had divided onto small kingdoms yet again.
