Access to Higher Education for American Military Service Members and Veterans

Since the 1940’s, the GI Bill has been providing American service members and veterans with means to access higher education by providing these men and women with finical assistant in order to attend school or training. From its earliest inception initiated by President Franklin Roosevelt to its foreseeable future under President Donald Trump, this timeline will examine just how the GI Bill and its many provisions have evolved to meet the then current needs of the veteran student.
