John Theodore Johnson and brother-in-law, begin chaff business called Rohde and Johnson.

1923

J.T. Johnson paid out Beno and took over the Stockport business. Later became Caltex fuel distributors

1924

Chaff business moved to Kapunda on Adelaide Road

1960

Produced clipped and graded oats for racehorses and rolled oats for human consumption

1962

Johnson's sold Caltex business

Approx. 1970

J.T Johnson passed away

1975

Built their first pellet mill and for live sheep

1976

Built second pellet mill

1985

Johnson's entered the export oaten hay business

1987 - 1988

Max Johnson passed away

1989

Closed chaff mill to focus on hay export

1990

Closed down oat mill

1992

Installed new Hunterwood press

2005

Opened office on Perry Road
