Life of Mohammad

570 - 632

He was the founder of Islam and brought together the Middle East. He was basically the reason the Islamic Golden Age happened. He started one of the biggest religions in the world to this day.

Ottoman Empire

1299 - 1923

One of the largest empires in history. Controlled most of the middle east for many years

black plague spreads to Europe

1348 - 1350

This plague wiped out most of Europe and changed the way their future developed

Ming dynasty

1368 - 1644

The Ming Dynasty was one of the most powerful dynasties in Chinese History


1400 - 1600

During the Renaissance, many new inventions, art, and ideas were made that lead to the development of not only Europe but the rest of the world too.

Zheng He's Expeditions

1405 - 1433

Zheng He's explorations discovered many trade routes and previously unexplored areas

Gutenberg printing press


This invention allowed ideas to spread worldwide way more quickly. They no longer had to hang copy books, they could be mass produced.

Columbus Arrives


Most people would say that he is the discoverer of America, and he gets the credit. He is the reason America was colonized at the time.


1517 - 1648

Split the church into 2 groups: Catholics and Protestants. It started the decline of Catholic power and corruption. A lot of the new world, America, was formed as well.

Mughal Dynasty

1526 - 1858

The Mughal Dynasty was arguably the biggest and most powerful Indian Dynasty

Elizabeth I

1558 - 1603

The Elizabethan Era was one of the most influencing times in Europe and led to many new inventions and ideas.

Taj Mahal Completed

1634 - 1638

The Taj Mahal is one of the greatest architectural achievements ever and was built to honor the death of an Emperor's wife.

Quing Dynasty

1644 - 1911

One of the biggest Chinese Dynasties and in the time they were in charge many important events happened

Russian Empire

1721 - 1917

The Russian Empire accomplished many things and was a major influence on lots of events and countries

Industrial Revolution

1750 - 1850

The Industrial Revolution changed the way the world works because so many countries developed factories and transportation devices. It made the world more accessible and made countries able to trade a lot easier

American Revolution

1775 - 1783

The American Revolution led to America becoming one of the most powerful countries in the world. It made us who we are today

French Revolution

1789 - 1799

The French Revolution not only made France a free country it led to many other important events, laws, and ideas that are still relevant today

Louisiana Purchase


The Louisiana Purchase was probably the biggest influence on America becoming a strong country and able to support itself.

Napoleon comes to power and restores peace; writes Napoleonic Code

1804 - 1805

Napoleon was a major influence on his country and the countries around him because of the decisions and ideas he made.

War of 1812

1812 - 1815

It was a turning point for the better in the US and it helped make the US a respected country

Mexican American War

1846 - 1848

When America won the war the got all of California, Utah, parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Crimean War

1853 - 1856

It showed how powerful some armies were but caused the British army to go through reforms.

Civil War

1861 - 1865

Abolished slavery and was a turning point for the US in many ways. It tore the country in basically 2 pieces and caused lots of fighting even after the war ended. It was one of the bloodiest wars in history

Slavery Ends


Slavery was abolished and black people were free but still not respected in some parts of America.

World War I

1914 - 1918

There were millions of deaths and empires were destroyed. There were many technologies invented that shaped the warfare of the 20th century and even the 21st century

World War II

1939 - 1945

It was the foundation of a new world order and new superpowers in the world emerged. Over 60 million people were killed and it shaped a new type of warfare in the world.
