Origin of Buddhism

560 B.C.

Buddhism is the oldest major religion out of the four. With a very big set complex of beliefs. One of them being The Four Noble Truths, suffering exists, it has a cause, it has an end, and it has a path to end. They also believe There's a reason for it and it can be ended with good karma, karma is basically good or bad actions that someone makes during their lifetime. Good actions bring about happiness in the long run, while bad actions bring about unhappiness. Buddhist's don't have just one holy book like how Christianity has the Bible, Buddhist have multiple holy books. Since the beginning Buddhism has been a very relaxing religion with a lot of peace involved. This religion believes in the theory of evolution and that everything came into this world over time. They also believe earth goes through phases of good and bad, life and death.

Life of Jesus Christ

1 A.D. - 33 A.D.

Christianity is a religion based on the teaching of Jesus Christ. The religion was started 2,000 years ago, when Jesus Christ was born. This religion is based from the teachings of the Bible. This religion is based off of the fact that we all sin but can be saved through believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. One particular image from Christianity is the image of the cross where it features an wooden cross with a man nailed to it, bleeding with a crown of thorns around his head.

Origin of Christianity

30 A.D.

Christianity is a monotheistic religion and is the most followed religion today. In the ancient times in Rome Christianity was a big deal because all Christians believed in only one god and refused to worship the roman gods, so they had to meet in secret and if they were caught they were killed. Romans and Christians had different beliefs for example Christianity promised life after death in heaven and in Roman religion only gods went to heaven.

Life of Muhammad

570 A.D. - 632 A.D.

Muhammad is the central figure of Islam and is known as its founder by non-Muslims. He is known as the "Holy Prophet" to Muslims. He is not the savior of the Muslim religion.

Origin of Islam

610 A.D.

Islam is a monotheistic religion, they believe that Muhammad was the last prophet of Allah. Muslims has many beliefs for example they believe that Allah is one and incomparable and that the purpose of existence is to love and serve Allah. Islam has different beliefs for example they believe that Allah is the personal name of God. They don't worship Muhammad or pray to him because they only worship Allah the creator of everything.

Reign of the Catholic Church

1000 A.D. - 1500 A.D.

Scientific Views

1900 A.D. - 2000 A.D.

Two of the most common scientific views are evolution and theistic evolution. Evolution is the process that everything was created from a single organism that was formed. Natural selection and adapting caused all everything to be what it is today. The theistic evolution view is God creating the first living things and guiding evolution stopping it at what it is today.
