  1. Iroquois, Dutch allies, now more vulnerable, get attacked by a southern tribe and cut off from French, and Mohawks (also Dutch allies) are again pressured by the Mahican. Iroquois attack most neighboring tribes.
  2. Iroquois transition to trade with English.
  3. Dutch have no incentive left to fight for a North American colony.

Dutch West Indian Company obtains monopoly on trade b/w Africa and colonies.

English have surprlus of wampum, dump into Dutch market.

1640

English have vast majority of beads right when they're losing value in New England, so buy up a ton of European goods leaving Dutch with the beads. Price of goods skyrockets, value of beads drops. Profits fell dramatically, causing balance to break and causing war on the frontier.
