In 1991, war broke out. Milosevic aimed to establish a greater Serbia that also was identical to Croatia by gathering the whole population. By 1992, war spread to Bosnia which was a region in Balkans, inhabiting by Croats, Serbs, and Muslims. Although UN sent peacekeepers in order to avoid worse situation, they failed to reach the goal. Because of the failure of controlling the situation, the countries of NATO threatened to take steps in 1995 to end it by launching several air strikes against Croatians.
