Soviet spy Igor Gouzenko defects to Canada and exposes a Russian spy ring in Canada.

Vietnam war

America felt nervous about Asian situation because when Vietnam become communist statue more Asian countries will fall to communist too. They decided to sent troops to Vietnam. Vietnam war is the first war recorded by television. When American people saw the village be bombed and many Vietnam people and American soldiers injured and died. More and more people stood up to protest the war in Vietnam So in 1969 president Richard Dixon pulled out all USA troops in Vietnam. Vietnam became communist and many anti-communist Vietnamese run away from their country. Prime Minister Pearson shared the doubt opinion of help USA invade Vietnam with many Canadian populations, and he is opposed to America’s bomb operation.

He wanted Soviet Union became capitalist and Open. He encouraged people in satellite states use the same reform. In 1989, Berlin were demolished by people from east and West Berlin. Two years later,Soviet Union dissolves into 15 countries. The Cold War is over too
