Vostok 1

April 12, 1961

-Landed on the same date it launched
-A race between Russia and the US
-To have the first human in space
-Yuri Gagarin was Russia's first man in space, for 1 hour 48 min

-Fist mission to go to outer missions
-fist probe to go through the astriod belt
-First to use nuclear power as it's power source
-Suppose to go for 30 days but went about 3 years

Mariner 10

November 3 1973

-Went to Venus and Mercury
-Took observations and readings

Voyager 1

September 5, 1977

-Flew by Jupiter, Saturn, and the Moon Titan
-still transmitting
-Suppose to stop sending data in 2025

International Spacestation I.S.S

1988

-Been there about 20 years
-People are constantly in and out of there
-Lets us know more about the universe and study the universe

Hubble Telescope

April 24, 1990

-first telescope to go into orbit and take pictures
-Goal, collect data and explore more about our universe

Mars Pathfinder

December 4, 1996

-first successful Rover mission to go to Mars
-Still on Mars, been going on for over 20 years
-Very safe landing, a bit of damage, but survived

Cassini-Huygens

October 15, 1997

-Studying Saturn and it's moon Titan
-Controlled by NASA
-Orbits Saturn and landed on Titan, Saturn's Moon
-still ongoing
-Suppose to to crash in 2017

Spirit & Opportunity

June 2005

-Mars Rovers (MER)
-Spirit pronounced dead
-Opportunity still on Mars today
