Born in Germany. Came to the mining camps of Colorado in the early 1870s. He spent much of his early life in colorado as an Indian fighter, prospector, miner and mason. Moved to La Junta in 1901. Passed away June 26, 1919.
Was admitted to Colorado State College (CSU) for Agriculture and Mechanic Arts Sep. 3, 1913; graduated June 1916 with a B.S. degree. Which was strange for a women to go to college at this time, especially from La Junta Colorado. She was a teacher of the highest quality. Passed away October 31, 1988.
He attended and graduated Cheraw School, and also served on the school board. Went to Europe and Japan to serve his country in World War Two. Has been a farmer and herdsman his whole life. And has recently passed away October 30, 2016
Also attended and graduated from Cheraw School. Followed his grandma to Colorado State University (CSU). Also followed his dad's footsteps and is a farmer and herdsman.
