New Kingdom ( Egypts Golden Age )

1600 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E

Egypt’s golden age. 1600 to 1100 B.C.E.Egypt’s power reached its height. Pharaohs also increased trade and had huge monuments built.

Pharaoh Hatshepsut

Approx. 1473 B.C.E - Approx. 1458 B.C.E

She became ruler in 1473 B.C.E and shared her power with her male relatives, but as time went by she took over completely. Hatshepsut used to travel a lot for trading. Her biggest trade expedition was to the African kingdom.Her biggest accomplishment was building a giant statue of herself in a place Dayr al-Bahri. At the entrance there was 2 tall thin mummies called obelisks. The entrance ,graced by 200 sphinx statues, the walls were also detailed with carvings.
