This is the birth to death date of miles davis. During this period, Miles davis developed his first appreciation towards music by listening to the gospel music in the black church when he was a kid. His mother has also encouraged him to play piano. Later on he went to the Juilliard music school, he first started as a bebop musician than slowly transformed fusion.(wikipedia)

Chick corea was born in June 12, 1941. There are no death date as he was still alive until today. Corea’s early music career was highly influenced by his dad who’s a jazz trumpet player in a band. He then started playing gigs in his high school, which eventually leads to playing gigs with professional musicians and recording albums. (Wikipedia). Fusion was started in the late 1960s by a cuban musician Mario Bauza when musicians combined aspects of jazz harmony and improvisation with styles such as funk, rock, rhythm and blues, and latin jazz. During this time many jazz musicians began experimenting with electric instruments and amplified sound for the first time. (wikipedia)
During the popular years of fusion jazz, each year has a different type of fusion jazz. For example, during the 60s (miles davis) fusion jazz conbines jazz, rock and electric, during the 70s fusion jazz were more about instruments such as drums, pianos and saxophones, during the 80s and beyond fusion jazz became a complete mixture of jazz and rock, which is when the name jazz-rock was made. His Fusion jazz work includes "Return to forever", but most of his work is himself playing an instrument with someone else singing the vocal part.Corea's fusion materials mostly combined jazz and flamenco, supported by Minimoog backup and a powerful horn section.
