Wren was an orphan, born in 1956 and then dumped on the steps of an orphanage in Paris. He learned to take care of himself very quickly, and built up a think skin even quicker. He spent more time on the streets than the Orphanage, running for weeks at a time, and then only returning when it was cold or he couldn't get food for himself.

The year he turned 10, he spent his days on street corners singing at the top of his lungs, trying to make money. People would give him their change, but it wasn't enough to survive, which lead him to stealing. And he was good at it.
As luck would have it, a group of students at the American Conservatory of Paris walked by as he was singing, and gave him a fist full of cash before bringing him to sing in front of some of the staff at the school. Later that year he was brought into the school and took lessons for free, honing his craft. He loved the excitement and challenge of classical music, but deep in his soul, he loved Rock and Roll and started a band on the side by the time he was 15. They played garage parties and school dances. They didn't really ever get big.

Their lead singer happened to be the ghoul of a Daughter of Cacophony, who hit it off very well with Wren from the beginning. After the haze of Love had worn off, Wren found himself in a next with multiple children of Cassandra, still not released. Wren was the only male in the nest, and got a lot of attention from his broodmates, both positive and negative. Being a free spirit and one to never really care about gender or sexuality, he allowed it all to happen.
In the next few months, things got weird for Wren. He kept hearing things about the discordant tones that he brought to their families song. Some of his sisters would outwardly attack him over it. Finally, Wren heard that Cassandra would be doing away with him for causing harm to her flock, Wren ran away to Italy, where his mortal family was from.

Not knowing what he was doing, Wren was sloppy. He screwed and ate whatever would give him their attention. having the basic understanding of his abilities at this point, he slowly began to fully become a new, focused individual. For the first time in his unlife, he was happy.
Unfortunately he was careless and didn't keep tabs on what was happening around him. Not knowing the first thing about Kindred Society, he fell into some unfortunate traps, and was captured by an Anarch Mercenary and placed into torpor. He woke up from time to time, seemingly on parade for different vampires, but it wouldn't last. He'd be put back into torpor if the kindred didn't want to buy him. It was hell.

And then he awoke and wasn't put back into torpor. A foppish Toreador Elder bought him from his captors, and he was bloodbound to the Elder. For nearly 3 decades, Wren was enthralled by the Camarilla Elder. No end of perversions were forced on Wren.. He was a caged bird, forced to perform. He was warped and twisted into complacency. It was all he knew for 28 years.

In the late Winter of 2012, there was an attack on the estate, Wrens captor owned. A pack of Cainites made a push against several Camarilla elders that night, in attempt to knock the foot hold the local Camarilla Domain had on territory the Sabbat wanted. Several Elders were killed that night, including Wrens Domitor. In a fit of rage at the loss of the only person Wren knew or cared about, he knocked three attacking Cainites into torpor before being captured. Thats when he met Freddie Velvet(As played by John Thomas). Freddie told the other Cainites not to kill Wren when he told them that he wasn't a member of the Camarilla, just a slave to their wanton desires. Freddie took Wren under his wing, and taught him about Kindred Society, and what it meant to be truly free.
