the internet was designed in 1958 for the use of USSR's launch of the Sputnik satellite.
In 1970 the number of computers on this new network had grown from 4 to 13.
So in 1975 if there are only 60 computer on this new network, many of them not sure exactly what to do with it, most people saw no need to spend thousands of dollars to join the network themselves.
By 1987 the 10,000 barrier was broken. By this time, computers were just starting to make it into people’s homes. In less than two years the number of computers would go from 10,000 to over 100,000.
And by 1992, just four years later, there would be over a million of computers connected.
1996, over 10 million users would now be connected. In 2001, over 100 million computers were connected to the Internet.
the number would increase to 23.
It wouldn’t be until 1977 before the hundred computer barrier would be broken, and not until 1984 before more than a thousand computers were on the network.
