Delete an Event

You can delete events one at a time, or several at once from the bulk editor.

Delete a Single Event

1. Click the event's name (either on the timeline or in the list of layers and events below it).
2. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the form.
3. A dialog opens asking "Do you really want to delete this event?"
4. Click Yes to delete the event, or No to cancel.

Delete Multiple Events

1. Open the Bulk Editor.
2. Your events appear in a list. Hover over an event and an X appears at the right of its row.
3. Click the X on each row you want to delete.

The Bulk Editor deletes each event as soon as you click its X, with no confirmation. The X is greyed out on an event that has dependents (other events set to start when it ends); delete that one from its edit dialog instead.

Deleting an Event Is Permanent

Deleting an event is permanent. Preceden has no trash to restore it from, which matters most in the Bulk Editor, where a click on the X removes an event straight away. The History button above your timeline lists deletions, with the name of what was removed and who removed it, but it cannot put the event back. See Seeing What Changed.
